Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs use of the Quiet Engine platform and services (the "Platform") and forms part of the Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms of Service.

§01

Purpose and Scope

The Platform is intended for legitimate B2B sales, recruiting, and business intelligence use by business customers. This AUP exists to protect customers, individuals, third-party rights holders, and Quiet Engine from misuse.

§02

General Requirements

You and your Users must:

  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations (including data protection, privacy, and anti-spam/communications laws).
  • Use the Platform only for internal business purposes permitted by your subscription.
  • Follow any technical documentation and security requirements we provide.
§03

Prohibited Activities

You must not, and must not permit any User to:

// Unlawful or harmful conduct

  • Engage in unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading activity.
  • Harass, stalk, threaten, or target individuals in a way that is abusive or discriminatory.
  • Impersonate any person or misrepresent affiliation.

// Data misuse and platform abuse

  • Scrape, crawl, extract, or systematically collect data from the Platform via automated means except through authorized APIs (if any).
  • Create derivative databases, directories, or products using Platform data or outputs.
  • Resell, redistribute, sublicense, or otherwise make Platform data or outputs available to third parties outside your organization.
  • Circumvent usage limits, access controls, or security measures.
  • Probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities of the Platform without permission.
  • Introduce malware, viruses, or harmful code.

// Privacy, PDPA, and communications compliance

  • Use the Platform in a manner that violates data protection or privacy laws.
  • Use the Platform to send unlawful spam or unsolicited messages in breach of applicable laws.
  • Ignore or override valid legal restrictions, suppression signals, or opt-out/do-not-contact requirements.

AI and Enriched Data Usage Rules

AI-generated insights and enriched data are probabilistic and may be inaccurate or incomplete. You must:

  • Apply human judgment and appropriate verification.
  • Not represent AI outputs as facts, verified information, or psychological/scientific assessments.
  • Not rely on AI outputs as the sole basis for decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on individuals without meaningful human review.

Data Protection and Removal / Suppression Requests

Where applicable under data protection laws, individuals may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal data by contacting Quiet Engine using the contact details set out in our Privacy Policy.

If you become aware of any valid data protection objection, opt-out, do-not-contact request, or legal restriction relating to personal data obtained through the Platform, you must:

  • Promptly notify Quiet Engine.
  • Promptly stop using that data in any manner inconsistent with the request or applicable law.
  • Maintain appropriate internal suppression/opt-out controls.

Quiet Engine may remove, suppress, de-identify, or restrict access to data to comply with legal obligations, enforce rights, or protect individuals.

§06

Third-Party Rights and Provider Restrictions

Some information available through the Platform is sourced from licensed third-party providers and public sources and may be subject to restrictions. You must not use the Platform in a way that would breach third-party terms, intellectual property rights, or confidentiality obligations.

§07

Enforcement

Quiet Engine may investigate suspected violations of this AUP. Where appropriate, we may:

  • Suspend or limit your access.
  • Terminate your subscription.
  • Remove or restrict data.
  • Report unlawful activity to relevant authorities.

We may take these actions immediately if required to prevent harm, comply with law, or protect the Platform.

§08

Updates

We may update this AUP from time to time. We will post the updated version on our website and update the Effective Date. Continued use of the Platform after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated AUP.
